Manufacturing plant coming to Trenton; MacLean Power Systems plans to hire 250 people over 3 years

Jackson Sun -- About 250 jobs are expected to be created in Trenton, TN over the next 3 years as MacLean Power Systems opens a manufacturing plant in that city.

The Mundelein, Ill.-based company manufactures transmission and distribution lines and substations for electrical power distributors throughout the world. The company will invest $12 million in its Trenton facilities over the next three years as it establishes itself in two buildings. The facility is expected to make hardware connectors, anchoring systems and other components for electrical transmission and other towers.

“This means changed lives,” said Trenton Mayor Tony Burriss. “It means people who have been out of work for a couple of years or better can now apply for great paying jobs. It will also give us a financial boost to our business

Okay, get up and going. You've got close neighbors who are in particular need of transmission and distribution lines at the moment.

Good news for Trenton, but it's really a sad reflection on the economy when a factory planning to hire a couple hundred workers over the next few years regularly makes the national news.

12.8 million is probably the number of people collecting unemployment. The real number of unemployed is much, much higher.

cssco: US unemployment is 12.8 million according to the Dept. of Labour, not 23 million. 23 million is a number Clint Eastwood trotted out while talking to a chair, although the Rmoney campaign has repeated it, despite fact checker sites having jumped on it repeatedly, when it has been used by Romney and Ryan. But, as per Goebbels, repeat a big lie often enough...

"distribution lines and substations for electrical power"

all good stuff needing replacement in the NY financial district
after tidal surge from Sandy shorted it out.

Without a doubt Trenton, Tn, is a good place to start. However, back here at ground zero in the good old USofA there remains 23,000,000 others waiting to be hired.
